Chemical Peel

Chemical Peel

BioRePeel Non peeling Chemical peel.

BioRePeel Developed by CMed Aesthetics (Italy) is new generation peel treatment, using 2-phase technology that taps into the power of bio-stimulation, revitalisation, and peeling substances to rejuvenate the skin.

It adopts a unique, non-invasive approach aimed at addressing a myriad of skin concerns, ranging from acne and enlarged pores to signs of ageing and uneven skin texture. This treatment delivers a strategic combination of active ingredients to stimulate skin cells, promote exfoliation, boost hydration, and enhance collagen production. The outcome is a revitalised complexion, reflecting the holistic wellness of your skin.

The Traditional Chemical Peel

Chemical peels are dermatological procedures designed to rejuvenate the skin by facilitating the peeling of the skin. They employ a solution of acid-based chemicals that, when applied to the skin, stimulate the exfoliation process, effectively peeling away layers of dead skin cells. The result is a revelation of newer, healthier skin layers beneath.

Chemical peels can address a multitude of skin concerns, including signs of ageing, sun damage, acne, and uneven skin texture. They come in varying intensities – light, medium, and deep – each offering a different degree of skin penetration and subsequent recovery time.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND BIOREPEEL

Ingredients and their Function

Unlike traditional chemical peels that primarily rely on the peeling action of their acid components, BioRePeel utilises a unique blend of active ingredients, each playing a critical role in skin rejuvenation.

These include trichloroacetic acid (TCA) for improving the texture and appearance of the skin, alpha, beta and poly hydroxy acids for combating acne and skin brightening, and a combination of vitamins, amino acids and GABA for reducing lines and wrinkles and countering the effects of skin ageing by UV radiation and pollution .

BioRePeel prevents the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other symptoms of ageing on the skin. In addition to stimulating fibroblasts (cells that maintain tension and firmness), it increases cell turnover and collagen production for long-lasting effects.

WHAT AREAS CAN BIOREPEEL TREAT?

BioRePeel can be used on various areas of the body to address a range of skin concerns. It’s not just limited to the face. Treated areas include:

Face: It’s most commonly used on the face to treat concerns such as acne, blackheads, fresh scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and dullness.

Neck: The neck is often a neglected area that can show signs of ageing. BioRePeelCl3 can help to improve the texture and tone of the skin in this area.

Chest (décolletage): Like the neck, the chest can also show signs of sun damage and ageing. BioRePeelCl3 can help to rejuvenate the skin in this area.

Back: The treatment can be used to address concerns such as acne and acne scarring on the back.

Hands: Hands often show signs of ageing and sun damage before other areas of the body. BioRePeelCl3 can help to improve the appearance of the skin on the hands.

As always, it’s essential to consult with a dermatologist or a skincare specialist to understand if BioRePeel is the right treatment for the specific skin concerns and areas you’re looking to address. They will provide a thorough evaluation and suggest the most suitable treatment options based on your individual needs.

THE BIOREPEEL PROCEDURE: WHAT TO EXPECT

Let’s take a moment and walk through some handy tips to get your skin all set for the best possible outcome.

Preparing Your Skin: Imagine it like priming a canvas before you start a masterpiece – pretty important, right? Based on your skincare professional’s guidance, you might need to tweak your skincare routine a bit. Some products, particularly those containing vitamin A derivatives like retinol, might need to hit the bench for a while. They could increase up your skin’s sensitivity, and we don’t want that.

Avoid The Sun: Excessive sun exposure can leave your skin more susceptible to sensitivity, so, let’s keep those beach days and tanning bed sessions on hold for a couple of weeks leading up to your treatment.

Hydration: Remember that one secret weapon for radiant skin? Water! Staying hydrated is the golden rule of skincare. Picture your skin as a thirsty plant – water is what helps it thrive and bloom. So, make sure you’re gulping down enough water before and after your treatment.

With these simple, yet effective tips, you’re all set to get the most out of your BioRePeel treatment. Are you ready to reveal your skin’s true potential? Let’s go for it!

On The Day

The BioRePeel procedure is straightforward and involves the following steps:

  1. Skin Preparation: Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed to remove any makeup, oils, or impurities. This ensures that the BioRePeel solution can effectively penetrate your skin. It will then be further prepped using the 4Ever Universal pretreatment kit which provides mechanical and chemical exfoliation alongside antioxidant action.

  2. Applying The Solution: The specialist will apply the BioRePeel solution to your skin using a special brush or applicator. The solution contains a unique blend of bio-stimulating, revitalizing, and peeling substances, including several acids (like trichloroacetic, citric, and salicylic), amino acids, and vitamins.

  3. Absorption: The BioRePeel solution is left on your skin to be absorbed. The active ingredients work by invigorating your skin cells, akin to awakening them from a deep slumber. The result is a virtuous circle of exfoliation, hydration, and collagen production. You may feel some mild tingling during this stage.

  4. Removal: Advance the clock to about 5 to 10 minutes – the conventional duration for the BioRePeel solution to enact its beneficial properties. The solution is carefully removed and following this, a gentle cleanse ensures a clean, refreshed canvas – your skin, primed and ready for its continued journey towards beauty and health.

Advice Post Treatment

Following the right aftercare procedure can help enhance the results of your BioRePeel treatment and minimise potential side effects. Here are some post-treatment instructions to keep in mind:

Avoid Direct Sun Exposure: It is essential to shield your skin from direct sunlight for several days. Consider it a crucial part of the recovery process, as if you’re offering your skin a much-needed respite. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of no less than 30.

Stay Hydrated: Keeping your skin hydrated aids in its recovery process.

Skincare Products: It’s best to avoid harsh skincare products or treatments for a few days post-procedure. This includes products with high concentrations of retinol, glycolic acid, or salicylic acid.

Do Not Pick or Scratch: You may experience some mild shedding or dryness after the treatment. It’s crucial not to pick or scratch your skin during this time to avoid scarring or pigmentation issues.

Healthy Lifestyle: A healthy lifestyle contributes to better skin health. Maintain a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate sleep to support your skin’s natural recovery and rejuvenation processes.

SIDE EFFECTS AND CONSIDERATIONS

As with any aesthetic treatment, some minor side effects may occur:

Common Side Effects

Redness: After the treatment, you may notice some redness on your skin. This is a common reaction and typically subsides within a few hours.

Slight Swelling: Some individuals might experience slight swelling, especially in areas with sensitive skin. This should subside within a day or two.

Tingling or Mild Discomfort: During or immediately after the procedure, you may feel a tingling sensation or mild discomfort. This usually fades quickly as the skin begins to recover

Dryness and Peeling: BioRePeel promotes exfoliation, which can lead to dryness or shedding a few days after the treatment. This is a normal part of the skin rejuvenation process and should resolve within a week.

Skin Sensitivity: Your skin may be more sensitive following the treatment, particularly to sunlight. It’s crucial to avoid direct sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for a few days post-treatment.

Uncommon Side Effects

In rare cases, individuals may have an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients used in the BioRePeel solution. If you experience severe or prolonged side effects, it’s important to contact your skincare professional immediately.

PRX-T33 Bio revitalizing Peel

The PRX-T33 bio revitalization peel is an innovative technique of TCA peel that stimulates the regeneration of the skin without involving exfoliation of the epidermis. It helps to strengthen the radiance and brightness of the skin, correct skin imperfections of the skin and reduce stretch marks.

The biorevitalization peel is indicated for patients who want to obtain the result of a TCA peel without its side effects while benefiting from the plumping effect permitted by mesotherapy.

SUMMARY

The principle of the biorevitalization peel PRX-T33

The PRX-T33 peel represents the latest generation TCA peel. It is based on an innovative formula composed of 33% TCA (Trichloroacetic acid, the active ingredient of a peel), 5% Kojic acid and Hydrogen peroxide (H202).

The TCA PRX-T33 peel is developed by the WIQOMed laboratory and distributed in France by the Novelskin laboratory. The effectiveness of this new type of TCA peel has been proven in 10 years of clinical studies. In 2015, more than 100,000 patients were treated.

A peel with no side effect

The presence of hydrogen peroxide (commonly "hydrogen peroxide") modulates the action of TCA, which prevents desquamation. Despite a higher TCA than traditional peels (around 15-20%), the biorevitalization peel induces almost no side effects.

Who can benefit from a PRX-T33 biorevitalization peeling?

The biorevitalization peel PRX-T33 is indicated for patients wishing to:

  • Strengthen the radiance and brightness of facial skin

  • Treat dilated pores

  • Plumping the skin like a mesotherapy

  • Mitigate recent depressed scars (acne, varicella or impetigo scars, superficial traumatic scars, post-surgical)

  • Revitalize the skin of the neckline

  • Improve the hydration of the skin

  • Reduce stretch marks

  • Improve the aesthetic appearance of the hands

The biorevitalization peeling session

The first step of the biorevitalization peel is to clean and dry the skin at the treated area (face, neck, décolleté, stomach, hands).

PX-T33 is applied to the skin by massage until the product is completely absorbed. Between 2 and 5 applications are made during the session.

The skin is then washed and rinsed with a soaked pad of water before a moisturizing and nourishing cream is applied.

In the days following the session, the moisturizer that will be prescribed to you should be applied 2 to 3 times a day.

A biorevitalization peel session lasts about 30 minutes.

Result of a biorevitalization peel PRX-T33

The biorevitalization peel PRX-T33 has several advantages over other aesthetic treatments of the skin, especially the classic peels that generally cause significant consequences (redness, desquamation, social eviction).

Advantages:

Its effectiveness in revitalizing and correcting skin imperfections is superior to superficial peels while avoiding desquamation (loss of the superficial layer of the epidermis). Thanks to the action of hydrogen peroxide, the biorevitalization peel does not involve social crowding in the days following treatment.

Compared to traditional peels, the biorevitalization peel reduces the risk of pigmentary rebounds (appearance of brown spots on the treated area). It can be used safely on black, Asian or mixed skin.

A biorevitalization peel is ideal before the summer as it does not involve social exclusion or additional precautions related to the sun.

Like the mesotherapy and carboxytherapy techniques, the biorevitalization peel has a lifting effect and gives the skin back its suppleness and elasticity. Unlike these techniques, it does not induce needles during treatment and therefore no risk of marks on the skin.

How many sessions are needed to obtain an optimal result?

To obtain an optimal result, several biorevitalization peel sessions are often necessary.

The number of sessions varies according to the part of the body treated (face, neckline, scars, stretch marks) and the initial state of the skin, the main aggravating factors being age, sun exposure and smoking. For a rejuvenation of the facial skin, 1 to 5 sessions are recommended, with 7 days between the sessions.

During a consultation, the surgeon will indicate the number of ideal sessions according to your desire and the nature of your tissues.

As part of a global cosmetic, medical and aesthetic approach to the aging of skin, Universkin serums can be prescribed before and / or after a peel, to prepare the skin and optimize the result obtained.

Universkin is a functional dermatology protocol that offer a tailor-made cosmetic prescription, whose active ingredients and their dosage are determined after a complete diagnosis of your skin condition.

The biorevitalization peel can be combined with conventional peels in order to accentuate the stimulation of the skin and thus the effect of the peel.

Contraindications to this type of peel

  • A biorevitalization peel is not indicated for patients whose skin is irritated, prone to seborrheic dermatitis or rash (herpes).

  • In case of irritated skin, a redness will appear quickly and an intense burn will be felt from the first minutes of the treatment, which will then have to be stopped immediately.

  • It is also not recommended for patients allergic to Kojic acid (risk of itching) and latex.

  • Skins with a thick horny layer can not be treated because of the risk of exfoliation too intense.

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding..
